When Placido Quarthamer opened his first ice cream parlor, his own ice cream machine broke down one morning. As the young owner had no funds for a new machine, another solution had to be found. Placido's father had been in close contact with the ice cream manufacturer Bruno Gelato for a long time at that time. It was therefore obvious that a collaboration between the ice cream manufacturer and the young entrepreneur was the ideal plan for a new start.

"I myself am always in close contact with Bruno Gelato - in large part due to the previous collaboration between Bruno and my father. Together we sell the ice cream at various locations and the response from customers has been overwhelming."
What do you like best about working together?
"When I wanted to gain a foothold here in Leer, I received a lot of support from from Bruno Gelato and other ice cream parlors in the area. Especially the good contact with Bruno as a direct contact person and the familiar relationship make the cooperation simply irreplaceable."
How is the ice cream from Bruno Gelato received by your customers?
"The customer feedback speaks for the quality of the ice cream flavors. We have some customers who visit us regularly - precisely because of the wide range of flavors. What's more, the ice cream comes directly from the region, which is very important to many customers."
And finally: What is your personal favorite ice cream?
"With so much to choose from, the choice is certainly not easy. But Banana and Melon are definitely two of my absolute favorites."
